Hollywood Cemetery
Named for the holly tree at its entrance, the town's nine-acre cemetery has served Wartrace families for 140 years. Open 7 a.m. to sundown.

Cemetery rules
- No excavating before contacting Wartrace Town Hall
- A grave liner is required for all burials
- One grave per plot; up to four urns may be placed in a plot
- No mausoleums or other above-ground burial containers
- No walls or fences without specific permission
- Corner stones and monuments must be coordinated with Town Hall before installation
- No planting of flowers, shrubs, or trees without permission
- Artificial flowers must be next to the monument during mowing season; discard old flowers and wreaths in the cans
- The town is not responsible for flowers or wreaths
- No one in the cemetery after dark; no overnight parking
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
Urns, plots & monuments
Interment requirements
- An interment form must be completed and signed for each interment
- The town must mark the spot before any interment
- A monument or headstone is required for every plot, showing the name, birth date, and date of death of all parties buried
- Proof of headstone purchase and lettering must be confirmed before burial
- Urns must be buried two feet deep; an urn vault is optional and available through your funeral home
- An urn may be placed at the foot of an immediate relative already buried
Town Hall can provide names of monument companies and grave services on request.

Getting there
From downtown Wartrace: cross the railroad tracks, take an immediate right in front of the hotel onto Highway 269, then continue straight onto Spring Street — it runs right into the cemetery gates.
