Planning Commission

Meets 3rd Tuesday monthly, 6:00 p.m.

Works with local government, developers, and the public to balance economic development, social equity, and environmental stewardship in community planning.

  • Develop and update the comprehensive plan and zoning regulations
  • Review development proposals, subdivisions, and land-use changes
  • Hold public hearings and gather community input
  • Protect natural resources, historic assets, and community character

Utilities Commission

Works closely with Wartrace Water to provide clean, safe, and reliable water for generations to come.

  • Uphold rigorous water-quality standards for treatment and wastewater collection
  • Oversee management and maintenance of treatment and distribution systems
  • Set rates that balance affordability with infrastructure investment
  • Promote water conservation through education and outreach
